This morning we went to Dillon's Bernalillo County League basketball game. When Dillon started the season he wasn't used to the speed of the game, but he's really improved over the last 3-4 weeks. With his height and his long arms, he's become a pretty good defensive player. Dillon's team, the Heat, have a pretty good group of players and are undefeated to date.
A couple of weeks ago, Dillon played in a 3-on-3 Hoop It Up tournament and his team took second place. Dillon's role was as the fourth man and he came in off the bench to make several key plays in several of the games to keep the team alive into the championship game. They were heavily favored to win the championship, but ran into foul trouble towards the end (Dillon, along with the team's best player, fouled out of the game) and ended up losing a close game. It was all very exciting and now Ray (Amy's dad) wants to put together a team of old guys to play in the 3-on-3 Hoop It Up tournament next year.

MYSELF AND TY ARE VERY IMPRESSED THAT DILLON'S TEAM TOOK 2ND IN HOOP IT UP. TY REMEMBERS PLAYING IN IT AS A KID AND SAID WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE IT WAS. YOU'RE AWESOME DILLON. WE LOVE YOU!!!!
